Sacred to the memory of
The Reverend Arthur Mortimer,
of the Diocese of Toronto.
who after having faithfully preached the gospel of our
salvation by Jesus Christ for a period of more than twenty years
as Rector of Warwick and Adelaide successively.
Entered into rest 27 March, 1864:
aged 49 years.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold I make all things new. Rev. XXI.
He has what we are wanting.
He sees what we believe.
The sins on earth so haunting.
I have there no power to grieve.
Safe in his Saviour's keeping.
Who sent him calm release.
'Tis only we are weeping.
He dwells in perfect peace.

widow of Rev. Arthur Mortimer
who died at Los Angeles, California
January 15, 1898; aged 74 years.
interred here July 2, 1898.
She was uniformly good and kind to her husband and children, faithful to her friends, and
forgiving to those who had injured her.

born Feb. 12, 1847.
died at Los Angeles, California
June 1, 1893,
interred here May 29, 1894.
